Omata Estate Vineyard Walks
There are 3 Omata Vineyard Walks to choose from each day – but you end up at the same destination for each walk;
10km walk – Russell to Omata – WALK 6
4km walk – Pests, Platters and Pinot Gris – WALK 7
A walk for non-walkers who want to join their partners and friends at the weekend, or want to experience the Omata hospitality but don’t walk long distances. – WALK 8
Omata Estate Vineyard from Russell – 10km
- Friday 11th – Evening – wine tasting, and delicious wood-fired homemade pizza!
- Saturday 12th – Afternoon – wine tasting and sumptuous platters
Omata Estate is a boutique vineyard situated in a stunning location on a sheltered hilltop with wonderful views across the vines to the bay. Their lovely wooden restaurant, brick paths, terraced and sunny garden are reminiscent of an old French vineyard, which creates a perfect atmosphere to sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine with a gourmet platter or delicious wood-fired pizza.
It is a lovely 10km walk – through Russell township, across mangrove boardwalks, through native bush and has coastal views.
Includes wine tasting and beautiful food, and each wine tasting goes through 5 different varietals of wine all grown on the property.
Catching a minibus back to HQ at the end of it all.
Friday 11th Oct
Assemble HQ: 2.30 pm
Arrive: at about 6.00 pm at Omata Vineyard for wood-fired homemade pizza and wine tasting.
Depart: 7.30 – 8 pm (takes approx. 15 mins)
Duration: 3 Hours walking
Distance: 10 km
Grade: Medium to hard. A couple of steep hills
Maximum Walkers: 20
Category: Family friendly – Children 10 years plus
Cost: $70 includes a guided walk, wood-fired pizza, wine tasting (18+ only) and transport back

Assemble HQ: 10:00sm
Arrive: about 1 – 1.30 pm for platters of food and wine tasting.
Depart: From 2.30 - 3.00 pm (takes approx. 15 minutes)
Duration: 3 Hours walking
Distance: 10 km
Grade: Medium to hard. A couple of steep hills
Maximum Walkers: 20
Category: Family friendly – Children 10 years plus
Cost: Adult $70 includes a guided walk, platters of food, wine tasting (18+ only) and transport back
